Why Affiliate Marketing is the Best Online Business for 2022:

Why Affiliate Marketing is the Best Online Business for 2022

A detailed step-by-step guide from start to finish to get you started (even if you’re a total NOOB). How To Do Affiliate Marketing Right In 2022 (It’s Not The Same As It Was 10 Or Even 5 Years Ago) And so much more!
Trust me I know what I’m talking about.

As a decades-long affiliate marketer making $40,000/month in affiliate commissions, I am the perfect person to accompany you on your journey. So, ready to go? Let’s go!

What is Affiliate Marketing 2022? (What all beginners should know)
Travel back in time with me for a moment:

  • Imagine it’s 1982 or some obscure date before the internet changed all of our lives forever.
  • You’re in your parachute pants or velor leggings and looking for a way to make more money (probably to buy more parachute pants or velor leggings?).
  • Now you’ll find out that a few blocks down Uncle Sam is making thousands of dollars selling organic hand lotions.
  • Since you run a busy moms’ book club, you know you have the perfect buyers for Sam’s lotions.
  • What to do next: Go to Sam and tell him you will be promoting his products in your book club… for a discount.
  • Moms get soft hands, Sam sells more lotion, and you make some money without having to go the extra mile to create your own product.
  • You build an audience (the book club) and then find affiliate partners (Uncle Sam) whose products you can promote.
  • The end result is also a win-win-win situation.
  • Your audience gets a product they love, the company makes more sales, and you get a discount.

But in case you want a more detailed description, here’s how Investopedia talks about it.

And Here Is a Definition From the Oxford Dictionary:

In short, affiliate marketing is a marketing method in which affiliate partners promote a company’s products and earn commissions on everything they sell.

  • Let me illustrate.
  • Imagine you are a fitness trainer.
  • They create a website and start a blog that teaches people how to get fit despite a busy schedule.
  • Over time, you’ll attract a legion of nine to five workers who want to take better care of their bodies.
  • These people will become your loyal audience.
  • Every week they visit your blog for more tips and tricks on how to stay healthy and fit despite the constant hustle and bustle of their lives.
  • Now let’s say you want to monetize your blog.
  • What you would do is find an affiliate partner or company whose products you can promote for commissions.
  • Let’s say you choose Gene Food.
  • Gene Food is a company that specializes in creating customized diets for people based on their DNA.

What You Would Do Is Sign Up for Gene Food’s Affiliate Program:

If you are accepted (probably if you already have a lot of followers on the blog), you will receive custom links to use on your blog. When your audience clicks on those links and buys the products you promote, you earn a commission on every sale.

Okay, so what makes me think your audience will buy the things you’re promoting? This is where trust and authority come into play.

If you can create a blog that speaks to the heart of your audience, follow in their footsteps and solve their most pressing problems …… they buy what you advertise.

Why Affiliate Marketing?

3 main reasons why it’s the best online business Ok, so why affiliate marketing?
  • Why not sell your garden celery online?
  • Or create a course and upload it to Udemy?
  • Here are three (big) reasons why you should skip the first two tips and move on to affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing won’t empty your pockets:

Affiliate Marketing won't empty your pockets

Here’s the thing about starting a business:

  • This is also true when starting an online business.
  • For example, developing your online course costs money (think course platform, course materials, video editing software, camera and equipment, etc.).
  • With affiliate marketing, all you need is the bare minimum . Which in most cases does not exceed $ 15 for a domain and web hosting.

Check out BlueHost’s great deals here:

Instead of going to Starbucks and spending your $ 15 for five Venti size cappuccinos. You can start your own business and start earning passive income.

Affiliate marketing doesn’t burden you with risk
Quick question.

  • Why do people choose to invest in a franchise rather than building their own brand?
  • Easy: It is less risky.
  • This is because the brand they will fly under already has proven products and a loyal customer base.
  • The same goes for affiliate marketing.

Instead of making your own sports gear and crossing your fingers hoping people will love them, you promote famous sports brands like Nike, Addidas and Reebok.

Instead of making a name for yourself from scratch, you can promote online courses that have already helped thousands of students succeed in their lives and careers.

With affiliate marketing, you can make huge commission cuts with minimal risk.

Affiliate Marketing is Flexible:

Affiliate Marketing is Flexible

  • Imagine that you have developed your own dog food brand to market to pet lovers around the world.
  • But the longer you do business, the more you realize that animal lovers don’t just own dogs.
  • They also own cats. And fish. And colorful parrots.
  • To meet these other needs, you should develop more products.
  • Like the kitten’s litter box. And aquariums. And bird cages.
  • Well, that’s a lot of work.
  • Downsizing your business will take years and thousands of dollars.
  • But with affiliate marketing, it’s as easy as pie.
  • All you need to do is find an affiliate partner that meets the needs of your new audience.
  • Sign up for the affiliate program.

How Much Can You Earn From Affiliate Marketing?

  • As I said earlier, affiliate marketing is a great deal.
  • That said, it’s not a get-rich-quick scheme.
  • Those “gurus” who tell you to buy their program if you want to make thousands of dollars in weeks Lie.
  • Because the truth is affiliate marketing is just like any other business.
  • Sure, it’s cheaper and carries far less risk than a traditional deal.
  • But it takes the same time, effort and perseverance to build and grow.
  • So how much can you earn as an affiliate marketer?

My answer: it depends.

  • It depends on your strategy and how much you are willing to invest in your business.
  • Let’s take a look at what Zip Recruiter says about an affiliate marketer’s average earnings.

Affiliate Marketing for Beginners (A Complete and Detailed Guide):

  • You are a beginner.
  • Don’t like anything technological.
  • You want the basics, clear and simple.
  • Then you are exactly right here.
  • Honestly, affiliate marketing doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
  • Just follow these #steps and you’ll be up and running in no time.
Affiliate Marketing for Beginners Step 1: Choose your platform:
  • To start off as an affiliate marketer, you must first have a trusted platform.
  • Your platform will be like your store, a place where you show your wares to the world.
  • To be sure, there are a ton of platforms to choose from.

You can choose:

  • Facebook
  • Instagram
  • youtube
  • Tik Tok

And sure, there are some affiliate marketers making big bucks from these platforms.

But since 2022 THE BLOG is STILL THE PLATFORM NO. 1 FOR AFFILIATE MARKETERS.

I just wanted to emphasize how important this is. As you continue your journey, you’ll meet plenty of doomsday traders who will yell at anyone who finds out the blog is about to be dead..But it’s not true.

Here are three stats to back it up:
  • Google is now number 1 with a market share of over 70%.
  • There are seven billion Google searches per day.
  • Content marketing is now worth $400 billion and is projected to grow another $269 billion by 2024.
  • What it means: With a well-optimized website and blog, you have the potential to reach the billions of users who currently use Google to find quality content.
  • Of course, I’m not saying that this is a difficult rule.

You can definitely get creative, skip the blog and start an affiliate marketing 2022 business on a platform like Twitter or TikTok.

But let me tell you: Blogging has been the bread and butter of affiliate marketers for a decade and it’s still going strong.

I know because I’m one of those affiliate marketers. I’ve been in business for 11 years and I can tell you the blog is dead.

Affiliate Marketing For Beginners Step 2: Choose a niche:
  • This is where it gets a little technological. But not really. ?
  • As an affiliate, “niche” simply means the industry you choose to specialize in, which will determine the type of products you will be promoting.
  • For example, if you choose the fitness niche, you can promote products like running shoes, diet programs, and gym equipment.
  • If you choose the pet niche, you can promote products like dog food, litter boxes, and pet exercise programs.
  • And so forth.

So how do you choose your niche?

Here are three options.

1. Choose something you love:
  • Do you have a special skill you’d like to share with the world?
  • Or the knowledge that you have acquired over years of work in your field?
  • Or a hobby you love?
  • They can use them to help you choose your niche.
  • Suppose you are a professional photographer.
  • You know cameras, lighting and composition like the back of your hand.
  • A creative person and have developed your own tips and tricks for the perfect photo.
  • You can start a blog and teach your audience what you know.

Believe me you are the best person in the world to talk about photography which means you are about to have a huge following. (Writing about something you know very well is very different from writing about something you’ve only heard about secondhand.)

Once your photoblog has grown, you can promote things like cameras, equipment, photography courses, and more.

2. Here are three reasons to choose a niche based on something you know and love:

You have in-depth knowledge and personal experience of the industry, which means you’ll write about it like the true professional that you are. You will always be inspired because you write and promote the things you love.

Since you’re an expert, you can monetize your blog in other ways besides affiliate marketing (e.g. you can create your own singing class if you’re a professional singer).
Of course, this method is not perfect.

Here are two disadvantages:

  • Your niche may be overly saturated. There may already be too many websites and blogs related to your topic, making it difficult for you to compete for top positions in Google SERPs. (But don’t worry. Later I’ll show you how to figure out if a niche is too saturated or not).
  • If your hobby is too rare, it can be difficult to find affiliate marketing 2022 to promote. (If your hobby is growing square tomatoes, for example, you’ll probably only attract a handful of exotic gardeners. Plus, you’ll have a hard time finding products made specifically for growing this alien-looking vegetable.?)
Find a soul mate and then build an affiliate website around them.

Do you have a dream company whose products you have always loved?

  • You can build an entire website around them.
  • For example, let’s say you’ve always been a Nike fan.
  • They love their shoes, workout gear, clothing and gear.

In order to build a website around them, you need to choose a niche that is close to what Nike stands for. In this case, sports and fitness. Once your website is built and you drive traffic to it, chances are the company you want to work with will accept your affiliate application.

3. Are there any Disadvantages with this Method?
  • Oh good.
  • If you don’t already have a strong following, your dream affiliate partner may not accept your application.
  • However, don’t worry about that just yet.
  • Focus on designing your website to be the best and build a following first and any business will happily accept you as an affiliate.
  • Find a niche with high search volume and low competition
  • To be fair, affiliate marketing in 2022 is different than affiliate marketing in 2011.
  • I mean VERY differently.
  • All you had to do was create a website with just a few pages, pack it with your links and some subtle content, and
  • You could be earning commissions in no time. Not today.
  • I mean just go to google and type in a keyword and you’ll get a ton of quality results.

What it means: You shouldn’t just dive into a niche, create a website and expect to start earning commissions in six months.

Instead, you need to study the data

  • You need to know if a niche is too saturated or not and if you have a chance to be successful.
  • For just $29.99 per month, you get a neat, sophisticated, yet totally beginner-friendly tool that will prove to be your trusty companion on your affiliate marketing 2022 journey.

Honestly, you don’t need another tool to have all the data you need for successful affiliate marketing right at your fingertips.

  • For a more in-depth review, read my KWFinder review here.
  • Okay, how do you use KWFinder to tell if a niche is too saturated to be profitable?
Two steps:
  • Determines the monthly search volume of a keyword.
  • Determine the difficulty level of a keyword.

Now let’s take a closer look at these two steps.
