عجوبہ کے اماں ابا بھی چائے پانی کے بعد چوہدری صاحب کی گاڑی میں ہی واپس چلے آئے۔
“دعا کرو عجوبہ شیرو بھائی کے اماں ابا مان جائیں تمھاری بھی شادی ہو”۔ کرن نے عجوبہ کو مخاطب کرتے کہا۔
“ہے ہے؟ کیسے نہیں مانیں گے۔؟۔ نہیں مانتے تو جائیں بھار میں۔ میں تو اب شیڑو سے ہی شاڈی کڑوں گی۔ ڈیکھ لینا آپا گھورے پہ بیٹھ کڑ آئے گا مجھے لینے”۔ عجوبہ نے خوابوں کی دنیا میں جاتے جواب دیا۔
“گھوڑے پہ کیوں آئیں گے ؟؟ گاڑی کہاں گئی انکی؟؟ ہائے!! عجوبہ تو نے پھر ٹیروں (ٹائروں) سے ہوا تو نہیں نکال دی۔” رقیہ نے اسکی کمر پہ دھپ لگائی جس سے وہ خوابوں کی دنیا سے واپس اپنے ٹوٹے پلنگ پہ لوٹی اور منہ کے بل گرتے گرتے بچی۔
اماں ابا کے دروازہ کھولتے ہی کرن دروازے کی طرف بڑھی اور وہاں ہونے والی گفتگو کے بارے میں پوچھا۔
اماں نے پر مسرت ساری بات بتائی۔ ابا تو خوشی سے پھولے نہیں سما رہے تھے۔ اماں نے انکے گھر کی چیزوں کے جو جو نقشے کھینچے اسکو سن کر ان تینوں کے ہوش اڑ رہے تھے اور عجوبہ کی قسمت پہ رشک کر رہے تھے۔
ابا بھی جلدی جلدی نوٹ پیڈ پہ دعوت نامے لکھنے لگے کل جا کر سب کو تقسیم بھی کرنے تھے۔ الغرض دونوں گھروں میں زور و شور سے نکاح کی تیاریاں شروع ہوگئیں۔

جب سے لڑکی والے تاریخ طے کر کے گئے تھے شہریار کے گھر میں عجب گہما گہمی کا سماں تھا۔ دوست اور رشتہ دار جوق در جوق ٹولیوں کی صورت میں آگئے تھے۔ کوئی گاؤں اور شہر ایسا باقی نہ تھا جہاں سے اسکے قرابت دار موجود نہ ہوں۔ اسکی شادی کا کھانا کھانے کے شوق میں سب وہ رشتہ دار جن کی آپس میں نہیں بنتی تھی وہ بھی جمع ہو گئے تھے۔ کچھ دوست احباب مل کر گھر کی سجاوٹ میں مصروف تھے۔
دوسری طرف جب عجوبہ کو اپنے نکاح کی خبر ملی تھی پہلے تو وہ بہت خوش ہوئی تھی لیکن اچانک ہی اسے یاد آگیا تھا کہ اسکی تو کوئی رسم ہی نہیں ہوئی نہ مایوں نہ مہندی بھلا یہ کیسی شادی؟؟
“اماں ں ں!! میں بتا ڑہی ہوں میڑی مہنڈی بھی کڑو وڑنہ عین نکاح کے وقت انکاڑ کڑ ڈوں گی پھڑ اپنی عزت بچانے کے لیےمہنڈی کڑو گی تو میں کوڑا انکاڑ کڑ ڈوں گی”۔ عجوبہ نے اماں کو دھمکاتے ہوئے اپنا مدعا بیان کیا۔

“چل ہٹ, بے شرم!۔ دو فٹ کی زبان ہے لمبی جوتے کھائے گی سسرال جا کر , ہمیں بھی گالیاں سنوائے گی ۔یہی حرکتیں رہیں تو وہ شیرو کی ماں جو بلائیں لیتے نہیں تھک رہی منہ بھر بھر کر کوسنے دے گی”۔ اماں کو اسکی بےشرمی پر حیرت تو نہیں ہوئی تھی البتہ غصہ ضرور آیا تھا۔
“کیا ہے اماں تم تو میڑے پیچھے ہی پری ڑہنا ایک ڈفعہ جا لینے ڈو مجھے پھڑ مڑ کڑ ڈیکھنا بھی نہیں میں نے”۔ عجوبہ نے اماں کو ایموشنل بلیک میل کرنا چاہا۔
“ہاں۔۔۔جا جا منحوس بلا ٹلے ہمارے سر سے بھی۔کسی کو منہ دکھانے جوگے نہیں ہیں تیری حرکتوں کی وجہ سے۔۔چل جا بھاگ اب ادھر سے”۔ اماں پہلے ہی تھک کر آئی تھی مگر عجوبہ ہی کیا جو دو پل کو بھی سکون لینے دے۔
“میں نہیں بھاگنے کی اماں۔۔میں تو مہنڈی کڑوا کڑ ہی ڑہوں گی اوڑ ابا تم کیا خڑچہ بچا کڑ آگئے؟ سب شیڑو پہ دال کڑ اب مہنڈی بھی نہ کڑو میڑی”۔
“کنجوس مکھی چوس اباا!!! “. عجوبہ نے توپوں کا رخ ابا کی طرف موڑا۔
ابا کا منہ حیرت سے کھلا پر بولے کچھ نہیں اب دو دن کی مہمان بیٹی سے کیا بولتے؟ فقط تاسف سے سر ہلا کر رہ گئے۔
“بسسس میں نے نہیں کڑنی کوئی شاڈی۔۔۔میں ایسے ہی ٹھیک ہوں۔ ساڑی زنڈگی اڈھڑ ہی بیٹھ کڑ تمھاڑے سینے پہ مونگ ڈلوں گی”۔ عجوبہ نے روتے ہوئے آنکھیں رگڑیں اور ناک سے غبارہ بنایا۔
“چل کرن لے کر جا اسے اندر۔۔۔ اب میری برداشت سے باہر ہو رہا ہے۔ اب جے میں اٹھ گئی تو میں نے لا لینی ہے جتی اور سینک دینی ہے کمر اسکی۔۔۔ چل دفعہ ہو یہاں سے”۔
اماں نے کرن کو مخاطب کیا۔۔
عجوبہ منہ بسورتے کمرے میں بھاگی اور کھڑکی سے باہر جھانکتے رونے لگی ۔اسکے مگر مچھ جیسے آنسوؤں سے آدھے گاؤں میں سیلاب آگیا۔ لوگ بھاگے بھاگے اسکے گھر کی طرف دوڑے اور سارا مدعا سن کر خود کو سیلاب جیسی آفت سے بچانے کے لیے ابا کو مہندی پہ راضی کرنے لگے۔بارش نہ ہونے یا کنوئیں خشک ہو جانے کی وجہ سے جن گھروں میں پانی کی قلت ہوگئی تھی انہوں نے پانی کی بالٹیاں بھر بھر کر گھر پہنچائیں۔ کھیت کھلیان بھی خوب سیراب ہوئے۔ مذید پانی وبال جان نہ بن جائے سو راتوں رات سب گاؤں والوں نے مل کر شامیانے لگائے اور آدھے گاؤں کو چمکیلی لڑیوں سے سجایا۔
تب کہیں جا کر عجوبہ کے کلیجے میں ٹھنڈ پڑی۔
