“میں نے بہت جلدی بات کی! تین سال اور لگیں گے۔” اس موقع پر طنز کرتے ہوئے ماہین کا منہ پھول گیا۔
“وہ بہت پہلے سے بات کرنا چاہتی تھی لیکن حالات۔”
“یہ بات ہے۔ میں جان آج اتنا خوش ہوں کہ بتا نہیں سکتا۔” حیدر نے تالیاں بجا کر اظہار کا خیر مقدم کیا۔
“پھر مجھے تم سے تحفہ چاہیے۔۔۔ وعدہ کرو تم انکار نہیں کرو گی۔” اس نے حیدر کو مضبوطی سے تھام لیا۔
“وعدہ…” وہ بغیر کسی ہچکچاہٹ کے مان گیا۔
“ہاشم کو رہا کرو۔ تم نے وعدہ کیا تھا کہ تم انکار نہیں کرو گے۔” حیدر کو ہاتھ پیچھے ہٹاتے دیکھ کر اس نے اپنی گرفت مضبوط کی۔
“سوجاو…” حیدر نے ہاتھ پیچھے کیا۔
“حیدر پلیز…” اس نے پھر سے حیدر کا دایاں ہاتھ تھام لیا۔
“پہلے میرے ہاتھ چھوڑو۔” اس کا لہجہ بالکل بدل گیا تھا۔

نے حیدر کو منانے کے لیے ہر جذباتی حربہ آزمایا تھا۔
“وہ باپ کہلانے کا مستحق ہے؟” حیدر طنزیہ انداز میں مسکرایا۔
“ریدا نے مجھے بتایا ہے کہ وہ بہت شرمیلی ہے اور اسے بہت یاد کرتی ہے۔ بچے۔” ماہین مزید جذباتی ہو گئی کیونکہ وہ اسے راضی
کرنے کی امید کر رہی تھی۔
“ہمم۔۔۔ تمہیں بے وقوف بنانا اس دنیا کا سب سے آسان کام ہے ماہین حیدر۔” حیدر نے اس کی پیشانی پر تھپکی دی۔
“بیچاری ردا بہت تکلیف میں ہے۔ ہاشم نے پاپا سے بھی معافی مانگی ہے۔ اس نے سبق سیکھ لیا ہے۔ اب آپ ہمیں ہماری شہزادیوں کے لیے
بھی معاف کر دیں۔” اس نے تنگ آکر اپنی بیٹیوں کے پاس بھیج دیا۔ تھا
