“تو کیا میں اتنی بری تھی کے مجھ سے محبت کرنے میں آپ کو تین سال لگ گئے،تین سال لگ گئے حیدر،تین سال لگ گئے آپ کو یہ احساس ہونے میں کہ میں بھی اس قابل ہوں جس کے ساتھ زندگی گزاری جا سکتی ہے،مجھ سے بھی محبت کی جا سکتی ہے۔کبھی خیال نہیں آیا کے۔کوئی ہے جسے اپنے نام کر کے چھوڑ آیا ہوں ۔”اس کے لہجے میں آنسوں کی آمیزش تھی ۔کوشش کے باوجود آنسو پلکوں کی باڑ توڑ کر گال پر بہ نکلے تھے ۔
حیدر کو لگا تھا جیسے اس کے سارے الفاظ دم توڑ گئے ہوں ۔وہ کچھ بولنے کی کوشش میں تھا جب وہ بے دردی سے اپنے گال رگڑتی دوبارہ سے بول اٹھی
“جب جا ہی رہے تھے تو کوئی آس ہی دلا جاتے،کوئی امید ،کوئی ایسا جملہ جس کے سہارے میں جیتی رہتی ،یا خاموشی سے چلے جاتے،کے خود سے ہی امید کے دیئے جلا کر خوش فہمی کا جہان آباد رکھتی ۔پر آپ تو جاتے جاتے آنکھوں سے خواب بھی چھین کر لے گئے۔پتہ جب آپ چلے گئے تو مجھے ایسا لگا جیسے کے میرے اندر کچھ ٹوٹا ہو۔کچھ مر گیا ہو میرے اندر ،شائید۔۔۔۔شائید دل ٹوٹا تھا ،شائید محبت مر گئی تھی ۔”
