Sher Afgan was as if in his eternal flamboyant and then domineering tone.

شیر افگن اپنے ازلی شوخ و دبنگ لہجے میں گویا ہوۓ تھے۔
“اپنی شادی کے سوگ میں۔۔”
ارسل نے چڑ کر کہا تھا۔ رمشہ نے ابلتے قہقے کو ابلنے سے باز رکھا نہیں تو بھائ نے اسے پھر بازار سے کوئ چیز جو نہیں لا کر دینی تھی۔ لیکن افسوس کہ شیر افگن کو ایسی کسی بھی چیز کی ضرورت نہیں تھی۔ بڑے ٹھنڈے انداز میں گویا ہوۓ۔۔
“آخری اطلاعات کے مطابق شادی کوئ ایسے سوگ کا نام نہیں جس پر سوگ منایا جاۓ۔”
” میرے لیۓ تو کسی سوگ سے کم بھی نہیں ہے۔ غضب خدا کا۔۔ اتنی زبردستی تو لڑکی والوں نے لڑکی کے ساتھ نہیں کی ہوگی، جتنی آپ لوگ میرے ساتھ کررہے ہیں۔۔ “
اس کا موڈ سخت خراب تھا۔ اب کہ رمشہ زور سے ہنس پڑی تھی۔

“بااااااس۔۔ ہم نے جو کہہ دیا وہ ہو کر رہے گا سمجھے میاں۔۔! شادی تو تمہاری وہیں ہوگی جدھر ہم چاہیں گے۔ اور یہ جو دماغ میں خناس بھرا ہے ناں کہ میں نے اپنے مطابق لڑکی سے شادی کرنی ہے۔۔ اس زہر کو نکال دو اپنے دماغ سے۔ ہمارے پٹھان گھرانوں میں زبردستی صرف لڑکیوں کے ہی نہیں بلکہ لڑکوں کے ساتھ بھی کی جاتی ہے اور تمہارے ساتھ بھی ہم زبردستی ہی کررہے ہیں۔۔ سمجھے تم۔۔؟”
بڑا ہی وہ کیا کہتے ہیں۔۔ مردانگی پر کاری وار جیسا سوال کیا تھا شیر افگن نے۔ اس نے لب بھینچ کر اپنے دبنگ والد کی جانب دیکھا تھا۔ وہ خوب گرجنے کے بعد ٹیبل سے اٹھ رہے تھے۔
“اللہ کا واسطہ غصہ نہ کریں۔۔ بچہ اب بڑا ہوگیا ہے۔۔”
سمیرا بیگم نے دہل کر اپنے شوہر کی جانب دیکھا تھا۔
“بچہ بڑا نہیں۔۔ گدھا ہوگیا ہے۔۔”
وہ کہہ کر کچن سے نکل گۓ تھے۔ دادی اور رمشہ اب مل کر ہنس رہی تھیں۔ سمیرا بیگم نے بمشکل اپنی مسکراہٹ دبائ۔
“ہنس لیں۔۔ ہنس لیں۔۔ کھل کر ہنسیں۔ یہ گھٹ کر ہنسنے میں کیا مزا آۓ گا۔۔؟”
وہ اب لال بھبھوکا چہرہ لیۓ ٹیبل سے اٹھ رہا تھا۔ گھر کی تینوں خواتین نے اس کے اٹھتے ہی گہرا سانس بھرا تھا۔۔
