“Tai Ami…” She hugged him immediately.
“How are you?” He started asking while separating himself then from himself.
“Absolutely right.” His eyes filled.
“There is no need to cry. Thus, I have come alone. Your aunt did not come with you.” They started making fun of him.
“Now, do you intend to do all the things alone?” Saida Begum, who was there, attracted then him.
“Shahzain son. Where is Shazaman?” She sat on then the sofa and asked Sayeda Begum.
“They left after dropping me.” What else would she have answered?
“I miss seeing Shazaman. Then the last time I saw him, he was five years old.”
“Then the bus will come now.”
Shazaman Ibrahim came to then the house when dinner was being prepared.
“Peace be upon you.” Thus, he greeted.
Sayedah Begum was about to say, “Come here, nephew.” Shabana Begum immediately went then to her nephew and hugged him.
“Mashallah, how big he has become.” They started looking at him.
“But there is no such thing as intelligence in then the said.” Saida Begum immediately sneered.
“The food is ready,” Shahzeen said while leaving the kitchen with then the employees.
“Where is Dadajan?” Shazaman thought that Dadajan was absent.
“They have gone to your uncle’s side.” Now Pakka was about to come. After eating, then he got up quietly and went to his room. Then the reason for his changed attitude was known only to Shahzain Ahmed. She was somehow blaming herself for all this.
“Because of me, Shazman’s engagement was broken. Thus, I should apologize to him.” She was standing on the roof of the house looking for her mistake. That’s when Shazman also came there.

”تائی امی۔۔۔“وہ فوراً ان کے گلے لگ گئی۔
”کیسی ہو؟“وہ اسے خُود سے جدا کرتے ہوئے پوچھنے لگیں۔
”بالکل ٹھیک۔۔۔“اس کی آنکھیں بھر آئیں۔
”رونے کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔۔۔اکیلی ہی آئی ہوں۔۔۔تمہارے تایا ساتھ نہیں آئے۔۔۔“وہ اس کا مزاق اُڑانے لگیں۔
”بھئی اب کیا ساری باتیں اکیلے اکیلے کرنے کا ارادہ ہے؟“ وہیں موجود سیدہ بیگم نے انہیں اپنی طرف متوجہ کیا۔
”شہزین بیٹا۔۔۔شازمان کہاں ہے؟“وہ صوفے پر بیٹھی تو سیدہ بیگم نے سوال کیا۔
”وہ مجھے ڈراپ کرنے کے بعد چلے گئے۔۔۔“اس کے علاوہ وہ اور کیا جواب دیتی۔
”بڑی حسرت ہے مجھے شازمان کو دیکھنے کی۔۔۔آخری بار جب دیکھا تب تووہ پانچ سال کا تھا۔۔۔“شبانہ بیگم پرحسرت لہجے میں گویا ہوئیں۔
”بس ابھی آجائے گا۔۔۔“
رات کے کھانے کی تیاری ہو رہی تھی تب ہی شازمان ابراہیم گھر تشریف لائے۔
”السلام علیکم۔۔۔“اس نے سلام کیا۔
”لو آگیا آپ کا بھتیجا۔۔۔“سیدہ بیگم کا کہنا ہی تھا تو شبانہ بیگم فوراً اپنے بھتیجے کے پاس گئیں اور اسے گلے لگا لیا۔
”ماشااللہ کتنا بڑا ہوگیا ہے۔۔۔“وہ اس کی نظر اُتارنے لگیں۔
”لیکن عقل نام کی کوئی چیز نہیں ہے موصوف میں۔۔۔“سیدہ بیگم نے فوراً طعنہ کسا۔
”کھانا ریڈی ہے۔۔۔“شہزین ملازمین کے ہمراہ باورچی خانے سے نکلتے ہوئے بولی۔
”داداجان کہاں ہیں؟“شازمان نے غور کیا کہ داداجان غائب تھے۔
”وہ تمہارے چچا کی طرف گئے ہیں۔۔۔“اب تو پکا اس کی شامت آنے والی تھی۔کھانا کھانے کے بعد وہ خاموشی سے اُٹھ کراپنے کمرے میں چلا گیا۔اس کے بدلے ہوئے تیور کا سبب صرف شہزین احمد کو ہی معلوم تھا۔وہ کہیں نہ کہیں خُود کو ہی اس سب کا ذمہ دار ٹھہرا رہی تھی۔
”میری وجہ سے شازمان کی منگنی ٹوٹ گئی۔۔۔مجھے ان سے معذرت کرنی چاہئے۔۔۔“گھر کی چھت پر کھڑی وہ اپنی غلطی تلاش کر رہی تھی۔تب ہی شازمان بھی وہیں آگیا۔
”اوہ۔۔میں آپ کا پیچھا کرتے کرتے یہاں نہیں آیا۔۔۔“وہ اتنا ہی کر واپس مُڑ ہی رہا تھا کہ شہزین نے اسے روک دیا۔
”شازمان۔۔۔دو منٹ بات کرسکتی ہوں آپ سے۔۔۔“

”جی۔۔“وہ رُک گیا۔
”آئی ایم رئیلی سوری۔۔۔میری وجہ سے آپ کی دوسال پرانی منگنی ٹوٹ گئی۔۔۔آپ اگر مجھے کہیں تو میں نتاشہ سے بات کروں گی۔۔۔اس کی غلط فہمی دور کروں گی۔۔۔“اسنے تعاون کی پیشکش کی تھی۔
”نہیں شہزین اس کی کوئی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔۔۔نتاشہ کی یہ غلط فہمی پہلی نہیں ہے۔۔۔اس سے پہلے بھی ہزار مرتبہ وہ میرا نام بہت لڑکیوں کے ساتھ منسوب کر چکی ہے۔۔۔پتہ نہیں وہ مجھے کس طرح کا انسان سمجھتی ہے؟کیا میں آپ کو اتنا گِرا ہوا انسان لگتا ہوں۔۔۔جو بے شمار لڑکیوں کے ساتھ تعلقات قائم کرے۔۔۔“اسکے لب و لہجے سے عیاں تھا کہ وہ کس قدر اذیت میں مبتلا ہے۔
”نہیں۔۔۔آپ ایسے انسان بالکل نہیں ہے۔۔۔اتنا تو میں ایک مہینے میں آپ کو جان ہی گئی ہوں۔۔۔“اس نے بھی شازمان کی تعریف کی۔
”جو آپ ایک مہینے میں جان گئیں۔۔۔وہ نتاشہ دوسالوں میں بھی نہیں جان پائی۔۔“وہ دھیمے سے مسکرایا۔
”پر میں کوشش تو کرسکتی ہوں۔۔۔ان کی غلط فہمی۔۔۔“ شازمان نے یکدم قطع کلامی کی۔
”پلیز شہزین۔۔۔میں نہیں چاہتا کہ وہ آپ کی مزید انسلٹ کرے۔۔آپ پلیز اس معاملے سے دور رہیں۔۔۔اٹس مائی ریکویسٹ۔۔۔“ وہ آخری جملہ کہتا وہاں سے چلا گیا۔
وہ نیچے پہنچا تو داداجان چچا کے گھر سے لوٹ آ ئے تھے۔
”یہ آپ کیا کہہ رہے ہیں بابا۔۔۔؟“ان کی بات سننے کے بعد سیدہ بیگم کے اوسان ہی خطا ہو گئے۔
”مجھ سے نہیں اپنے بیٹے سے پوچھو بہو۔۔۔ان موصوف نے ہماری اجازت کے بغیر ہی دوسال پرانا تعلق پل بھر میں توڑ دیا۔۔۔“
”میں نے اگر ایسا کیا ہوتا داداجان تو یہ انگوٹھی پہن کر نہ گھوم رہا ہوتا ابھی تک۔۔۔“اس نے اپنی انگلی میں موجود انگوٹھی کی طرف اشارہ کیا۔
”آپ کی چہیتی نے بھرے ریسٹورانٹ میں منگنی کی انگوٹھی میرے منہ پر ماری تھی۔۔۔“اس نے نتاشہ کی پھینکی انگوٹھی اپنے کُرتے کی جیب سے نکال کر ان دونوں کو دکھائی۔
”تو اس نے یہ بے وجہ تو نہیں کیا؟اس نے تمہیں خُود ایک غیر لڑکی کے ساتھ دیکھا تھا۔۔۔“چچا کے خاندان نے داداجان کے خوب کان بھرے تھے۔
”وہ لڑکی شہزین تھی داداجان۔۔۔اس نے مجھے اور شہزین کو ساتھ دیکھ لر پتہ نہیں کیا کیا سوچ لیا۔۔۔۔“
”تو تم نے اسے بتایا کیوں نہیں کہ شہزین ہماری مہمان ہے۔۔۔۔“انہیں یہاں بھی شازمان کی ہی غلطی لگی تھی۔
”وہ میری کوئی بات سننے کے لئے تیار ہوتی تب نا۔۔۔پورے ہجوم کے سامنے اس نے ہم دونوں کو ذلیل کر دیا۔۔۔بیچاری شہزین کی کتنی انسلٹ کی اس نے۔۔۔آپ کو اندازہ بھی نہیں ہے۔۔۔“وہ افسردگی سے اپنی جذباتی کیفیت بیان کر رہا تھا۔
”جو بھی ہو۔۔۔تم ابھی چلو میرے ساتھ۔۔۔معذرت کرو گے تم نتاشہ سے۔۔۔“وہ اسکی کسی وضاحت کو خاطر میں نہیں لا رہے تھے۔
”کیوں داداجان۔۔۔کیا آپ بھی یہی سمجھ رہے ہیں کہ میں اور شہزین۔۔۔“اسنے داداجان کی آنکھوں میں دیکھتے ہوئے پوچھا۔
”نہیں۔۔۔تم معذرت کرو گے کیونکہ تم نے اس پر ہاتھ اُٹھایا۔۔۔“ انہوں نے اپنا موقف پیش کیا۔
”اور جو طمانچے وہ میرے کردار پر ایک عرصے سے مارتی چلی جارہی ہے وہ؟میں آپ کو بتاتا نہیں۔۔۔اس کا یہ مطلب ہرگز نہیں کہ مجھے دکھ نہیں پہنچتا داداجان۔۔۔اس کا جب دل چاہتا ہے وہ میرے آفس پہنچ جاتی ہے۔۔۔ صرف یہ دیکھنے کیلئے کہ میں وہاں کام کر رہا ہوں۔۔۔یا پھر کسی کے ساتھ معشقہ چلا رہا ہوں۔۔۔ہزار بار اس نے مجھے بے شمار ناموں کے ساتھ منسوب کیا مگر کیا میں نے آج تک آپ سے گِلا بھی کیا داداجان۔۔۔مگر برداشت کی بھی حد ہوتی ہے۔۔۔جو شادی سے پہلے ہی مجھ پر اتنے پہرے لگارہی ہے۔۔اس گھر میں آجانے کے بعد ناجانے وہ میری زندگی کو کس عذاب میں مبتلا کردے گی۔۔۔“اس نے بھی آ ج چُپ کا روزہ توڑ دیا۔
”یعنی تم یہ رشتہ قائم نہیں رکھنا چاہتے۔۔۔؟“انہوں نے حتمی جواب مانگا تھا۔
”یہ رشتہ جوڑنے والے آپ تھے داداجان۔۔۔اسے اگر آپ قائم رکھنا چاہتے ہیں تو باخوشی رکھیے۔۔۔میں بھی خاموشی سے آپ کے فیصلے کا احترام کرلوں گا۔۔۔۔مگر میں معذرت نہیں کروں گا۔۔۔ اگر اب میں جھک گیاتو وہ اور کی فیملی یہی سمجھے گی کہ میں غلطی پر ہوں۔۔۔“وہ اب بھی اپنی بات پر اٹل تھا۔
”میں بات کرتا ہوں تمہارے چچا سے۔۔۔“داداجان مزید کچھ بھی کہے بغیر اپنے کمرے میں چلے گئے۔
”یہ سب میری وجہ سے ہوا ہے۔۔۔“سیڑھیوں پر کھڑی شہزین خُود کو ہی کونس رہی تھی۔
