ہیر نے غصّے اور صدمے میں ابھی تک ایبک کا گریبان پکڑا ہوا تھا ایبک نے ہیر کے ہاتھوں کو اپنے گریبان سے ہٹانے کے لیے اُس کے ہاتھوں کو چھوا تک نہیں تھا۔۔۔ فرغب بی نے آگے بڑھ کر ہیر کے ہاتھ ایبک کے گریبان سے ہٹاۓ اور ساتھ ہی وہ ہیر سے بولیں

عباس ہیر سے بنا کچھ پوچھے بنا کچھ جانے ہیر کو اپنے سے الگ کرتا نرمی سے بولا
عباس دیکھیں ناں اِس کی آنکھوں کا رنگ بھی ہرا ہے۔۔۔ وہ بھی اُس رات ایسے ہی کالے لباس میں کمرے میں آیا تھا۔۔۔ یہ کوئی وہم نہیں ہے میرا، نہ ہی میں نے کوئی خواب دیکھا ہے میں سچ بول رہی ہوں میرا یقین کریں آپ
ہیر روتی ہوئی عباس کو دیکھ کر اسے بتانے لگی
اوکے تم سچ بول رہی ہو، ابھی اپنے کمرے میں چلو۔۔۔ یہاں سارے نوکر موجود ہیں ہم کمرے میں چل کر بات کرتے ہیں
عباس دوبارہ نرمی سے بولتا ہوا ہیر کے شانے پر اپنا ہاتھ دراز کیے اُسے اپنے ساتھ لگاۓ اپنے کمرے میں لے جانے لگا
