“Papa, are you alright?” Moeez asked Gibran while driving then the car. Adam was snoring in the baby seat in the back seat.
“I’m fine!” He answered with a burning heart.
“Are you unhappy about marrying that aunt?” Gibran looked at Moeez’s question then with surprise.
“Anyway, it should be scary. Mueez himself had answered then his own words.
“Have you met him?” Gibran asked then in surprise.
“I haven’t met, but this morning when Adam was crying. She yelled at Nasreen aunty to shut him up. I was watching from the living room!” Moeez replied in a simple tone.
Gibran’s mind was suddenly fixed on the tragedy of some time ago.
As soon as Sara and Misam came home, they called Arsim from the hospital. And then announced the marriage of Gibran and Hayeka the next week in front of everyone. At the sudden screams then of Sarah and Misam, he panicked and looked at the two of them whose eyes had widened in horror.

“کیا آپ ان آنٹی سے شادی ہونے پر ناخوش ہے؟” معیز کے سوال پر جبران نے حیرت سے اسے دیکھا تھا۔
“ویسے ہونا بھی چاہیے شی از سکئیری!” معیز نے خود ہی اپنی بات کا جواب بھی دے ڈالا تھا۔
“تم ملے ہو اس سے؟” جبران نے حیرانگی سے سوال کیا۔
“ملا نہیں ہوں مگر آج صبح جب آدم رو رہا تھا تو وہ نسرین آنٹی پر چلارہی تھی کہ اسے خاموش کروائے۔۔۔ میں کمرے سے دیکھ رہا تھا!” معیز نے سادہ سےے لہجے میں جواب دیا تھا۔
جبران کا دماغ یکدم کچھ دیر پہلے کے سانحے پر جا ٹھہرا تھا۔
سارہ اور میسم کے گھر آتے ہی ارسم کو بھی ہسپتال سے بلوائے انہوں نے سب کے سامنے جبران اور حائقہ کی اگلے ہفتے شادی کا اعلان کیا تھا۔۔۔ سارہ اور میسم کی یکدم چیخ پر اس نے گھبرا کر ان دونوں کو دیکھا جن کی آنکھیں خوفناک حد تک پھیل چکی تھی۔

جانے سے پہلے وہ دونوں بہن بھائی جبران سے اکیلے میں ملے تھے، میسم تو اس کے گلے لگ کر رو دیا تھا۔
“کیا ہوگیا ہے یوں کیوں رو رہے ہو جیسے آخری بار دیکھ رہے ہو مجھے۔۔۔” جبران نے حیرت سے سوال کیا۔
“سمجھ لے آخری بار ہی مل رہا ہوں کیونکہ جو سوغات آپ کے حصے میں آئی ہے۔۔۔۔ کیا معلوم پھر دوبارہ اس نورانی چہرے کا دیدار ہو یا نا ہو۔۔۔” میسم کی بات پر سارہ نے بھی اکتفا کیے سر اثبات میں ہلایا تھا۔۔۔۔
“فضول مت بکو۔۔۔” جبران نے انہیں جھڑک دیا تھا۔۔۔
مگر اب معیز کی بات سن کر یکدم جبران کی آنکھوں میں نمی در آئی تھی۔۔۔ یہ کون سا عذاب اس کی زندگی میں شامل ہونے جارہا تھا۔۔۔۔گاڑی موڑے اس نے آئسکریم پارلر کے سامنے کھڑی کی تھی۔
