Open the App Store to Download Apps on iPhone
It’s the only place to download iOS and iPad apps from the App Store. Once you’ve set up your new or used iPhone or iPad, find the App Store and tap its icon. You will see it on the first page of the Home Screen. And we will share with you basic tips on how to install iOS apps. Here’s how:

Note: If you can’t find it, swipe down from the Home screen, tap the small search button, and type App Store. You will see it in the results and from there you can tap its icon to open it.
View a List of the Most Popular Apps
When you open the App Store, you’ll be taken to the Today screen, which displays selected Apple apps. You can search later. Now tap on the Apps button from the bottom of the screen. Next, scroll down to find a section called Top Free Apps. Tap See All next to it.
Go Through the Top Free and Paid Apps
The Top Charts section lists the top 200 free and 200 paid apps in your country. Since you are a beginner, we suggest you check out the free apps section. There you will find 75% of the applications you need. Free apps show a GET button next to them. Paid apps have a separate tab where the price is displayed in $ (Dollar), € (Euro), £ (Pound), ¥ (Yen), ₹ (Rupee), or your local currency.
Download Useful Apps on iPhone
Tap the GET button next to it to download the free app. Or, tap the name of the app for a full description and press FIND. The first time you tap GET, you may be asked to enter your Apple ID password. Please do the same.

Add your Payment Information
If this is your first time using an Apple device, you may have created a new Apple ID when you set up your iPhone or iPad. So, after you try to download your first app, you will get a prompt to enter your billing address. This is a simple, one-time process. They won’t ask you to do it again in the future.
After you tap GET to download your first app, accept the App Store alert and fill in your street, city, state, ZIP code, country, and phone number. You are not required to add your credit card details. You can choose None in the payment method. But if you want to download paid apps or get songs, movies, TV shows, subscriptions, etc. if you want to buy it, you can add your card details now. Or, you can add it later.
Start Downloading the App
Once you’ve added your billing address to your new Apple ID, your first app should start downloading. If not, go back to the App Store and tap GET. When the app downloads, you will see its app icon on the iPhone Home Screen with a circular progress hand.
Download Additional Applications
There are more than 2 million apps in the App Store. Of course, you won’t download 1% of that. However, depending on your needs and the amount of space available on your iPhone, open the App Store again and download useful apps. The Top Charts section should help, or you can download it by asking your friends and family what apps they use.
Search for a Specific Application by Name
Open the App Store and tap Search in the bottom right corner. Type the name of the application you want in the search box and press the search key on your keyboard. As you type, you can select one of the suggestions that appear in real time under the search box.
